Lamberts L-Methionine 500mg, 60 Capsules
Amino acids are classified as either essential or non-essential. Essential amino acids cannot be synthesised in the body and must be obtained from the diet, whereas non-essential amino acids, whilst still essential for health, can be synthesised in the body and are therefore not classified as 'essential'.
LMethionine is an essential sulphur-containing amino acid which is converted in the body to cysteine, carnitine, glutathione, taurine and nucleic acids.
• Important amino acid in growth and repair of tissues, especially in cases of injury and trauma
• Can be used in detoxification but B vitamins should be given in conjunction
• Methionine is converted to S-Adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) in the liver which is a powerful antioxidant
• Low levels of SAMe have been linked to low mood.
As with all our amino acids, Lamberts L-Methionine is presented in its free-form for maximum absorption. Each capsule provides a full 500mg of L-Methionine.
